Acoustic and Visual-Acoustic Text in the Music of Oral Tradition and the Work of Asian Composers: Notes on the Research

Abstract

The article examines some aspects of the phenomenon of acoustic text in traditional and composer music of Asian countries. Particular attention is paid to the type of acoustic text stored in the musician’s memory, its use in the traditional teaching system (master-apprentice) and the influence of the acoustic environment and timbre specifics. Several techniques of composing work with acoustic and visual-acoustic text are analyzed, the specifics of which determine the final creative result, as well as the interaction of the composer with the bearers of tradition, and the role of multimedia technologies.
