Metadiscourse of Russian Musical Culture: Issue 5 In memory of V. A. Ekimovskiy

Abstract

In the fifth issue of the Metadiscourse, a letter from A. K. Vustin to V. Ekimovsky and R. Farhadov, as well as a transcript of the meeting of the ACM-2 dated February 26, 2024, are published for the first time. The almost thirty-year period of existence under the leadership of Ekimovskiy is discussed by composers Y. V. Vorontsov, S. V. Zhukov, and V. Y. Chernelevskiy, as well as musicologists A. A. Amrakhova and R. Y. Farhadov. The statements of Yekimovskiy's associates reveal interesting details of communication with him, and an attempt is made to look at composer’s figure and creativity through the prism of completeness of his life's journey.
