Abstract

This publication presents a translation of Helmut Lachenmann’s article, which concerns the analysis of his own piece Siciliano, which is one of the parts of his Dance Suite with a Song about Germany (Tanzsuite mit Deutschlandlied). Self-portrait 1975

Abstract

This publication presents a translation of Helmut Lachenman's autobiographical note «Selbstportrait 1975». The note is made for the booklet of the Donaueschingen days of music of 1975 and consists of two parts: «Woher — Wo — Wohin» (actually the composer's autobiography) and «Zu SCHWANKUNGEN AM RAND» (a commentary on his famous piece).
