Abstract

The article is devoted to the Golden Age of Danish culture (1800 – 1850). This publication for the first time in Russian art history represents an attempt to form a holistic view of the Golden Age as an era; generalizes the aesthetic and worldview foundations manifested in music, literature, and visual arts of Denmark in the first half of the 19th century; investigates the originality of the art of the Golden Age formed in a unique combination of features of romanticism, classicism and Biedermeier.
