"Where Did You Come from, Wanderer?": Two Romances by G. V. Sviridov to Words by B. L. Pasternak (1935)

Abstract

The article is devoted to the first surviving work of Georgy Sviridov — Two Romances on the verses of Boris Pasternak, written in the same year as Pushkin's romances that brought the composer popularity (1935).This publication is the first musicological study of the work and sets the task of acquainting professional musicians and music lovers with an unpublished work, determining its significance in the composer's creative heritage and expanding ideas about the early stage of his work.
