Studying Harmony in a creative manner

Abstract:
The article focuses on the practical course of harmony that the author has been teaching at the Moscow Conservatory’s solo performance departments. The course features the history of harmonic styles and composition techniques from the medieval epoch through the 20th century. The course schedule, which contains both the practical tasks and some audio recordings of the best works by students of various majors in their own performances, are attached to the article.
