The Forecast of Professional Music Education in Russia



The article considers today’s problems of professional music education in Russia. Among the ways to solve them, the author suggests that the system of continuous professional music education, which has been a long-term tradition initiated by Rubinstein brothers, be preserved.



Elementary, secondary and higher professional music education,

the brothers Anton and Nikolay Rubinstein,

the spetsialitet — a five-year specialist program of studying all musical professions,

undergraduate studies (Bachelor’s program),

graduate studies (Master’s program),

post-graduate studies (Doctoral program).
