“Cher Chopin”: On the Importance of the Composer for E. Delacroix’s Life and Oeuvre

Abstract
Fruitful communication between F. Chopin and E. Delacroix has most often been the subject of scientific research. The article is aimed to reveal certain new details in the history of their friendship, specifically, try and find an answer to the question about how profound was the impact of aesthetic concepts and statements of the composer on the artist and the degree of influence of Chopin on Delacroix’s art per se. The material used for research includes verbal texts of the masters and their works.
