"Free" or "Intonation" Rhythm: to the Issue of Methodological Approaches in Contemporary Musicology
This article is aimed on two purposes: 1) to formulate the theoretical model of the intonation rhythm system; 2) to identify the ways of its verification. First section is devoted to the history of the research of free rhythm. The second one is devoted to the current offers for the development of the theory by Sokalsky — Kharlap. The conclusion is focused on the problem of the relation between categories "free rhythm" and "intonation rhythm".
