Methodology of the Historical and Geographic Localization of the Latin Musical-Liturgical Manuscripts

Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of the identification of the occidental medieval musical-liturgical manuscript books, which is currently topical in musicology. Attribution of such sources (dating and localization) is a necessary beginning stage of the study of the medieval monody. The author proposes a methodology and criterions of the attribution on the base of her own long experience of the source studying. The analysis of church calendar, rubrics, structure of liturgy, musical notation, repertory of chants, musical content is considered among the methods.
