Abstract
In an interview with E. O. Kuprovskaya, the French composer Augustin Braud talks about his creative formation, his passion for non-academic music, his interest in the work of O. Messiaen, L. Nono, P. Boulez, spectralists and representatives of the movement “musique saturée”. In a conversation about his compositions, the hero of the interview focuses on the harmonic language and timbre solution, and also shares his successful experience in finding performers. In conclusion, Augustin Braud points out the importance of pedagogical, musicological and administrative activities for a modern composer.
