Metadiscourse of Russian Musical Culture: Issue 6. To the anniversary of A. S. Sokolov

Abstract

The 6th issue of Metadiscourse includes never-before-published photographs from the archive of M. V. Karaseva as the main historical material. The photo series, arranged in chronological order, makes it possible to follow the events of A. S. Sokolov's biography in inseparable unity with the life of the Moscow Conservatoire over the last 30 years. In the memoirs of Sokolov's colleagues at the Department of Music Theory, the activities of the department are revealed from a new perspective. From a series of mini-series of stories grows a humanity-filled image of not just a structural unit of a top-level educational institution, called to disseminate the reasonable, but a collective that accumulates and sows “the good and the eternal”.
